Dear Parents,

Firstly, I would like to thank you for taking an interest in the Excel Central School. Your choice to send your son or daughter to our school could well be one of the most important investments you will make in their future. ECS is committed to providing the highest quality education and to bringing the best out of every single student.

ECS is a school founded on strong values and beliefs. Foremost amongst these, is the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to make the absolute most of their individual talents. In order to do this, every child deserves access to an education of the highest standards. We believe in exposing our students to a diverse curriculum and in encouraging them to think critically and independently. We teach our students to embrace new ideas and to learn from their mistakes. These beliefs inspired the school's creation, and remain at the heart of our vision to this day.

As a doctoral research student at the University of Madras, I was first exposed to the higher standards of education and consequently greater career opportunities that were enjoyed by the urban population. The discrepancy between this and the educational facilities that were available in my hometown of Thiruvattar, and other rural areas of Tamil Nadu, was greatly shocking to me. It was this experience that inspired me to found the Excel Central School. It was my goal to create a replicable model school that would deliver the highest standards of education to the rural communities of India.

ECS and its sister institution, the Excel Global School, (Cambridge University affiliation) are providing an education of an international standard, delivered by highly qualified teachers and using cutting edge technological facilities. I am proud to be working here, with students who I know will be leading our country with distinction in the years to come.

I am very much indebted to all my students, to their parents and to the whole local community for providing me with the support and motivation to realise my vision.
